Below is a list of frequently asked questions for our soccer camp programs. Please review each question carefully before you attend the first day of camp.

1. Why is the Ducks Soccer Camp the most well attended camp in Hoboken?

Ducks soccer camp is the most well attended sports camp in Hoboken, NJ because it is an excellent blend of soccer, swimming and FUN! All of our coaches are full time coaching professionals and are certified in CPR and First Aid. Additionally, we have an excellent mix of youth coaches and top college coaches which makes for a unique camp setting. The Stevens Soccer players assist each camp coach and serve as great student/athlete role models for the young players. 

2. How do I register for a camp program?

 Registration should be completed online at www.duckssoccercamp.com. Payment can be made online with Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover or you can pay by check made payable to Tim ODonohue’s Soccer Academy.

Additionally, a copy of your child
s immunization record must be mailed to the above address after online registration has been completed. All immunization records must be received by July 1, 2010.

3. What programs are offered at the Ducks Soccer Camp?

4. Are the players supervised at all times?

Yes, the coaches are with the campers at all times throughout the day. 

 5. Can I pay by check?

Personal checks are accepted. Please make all checks payable to: Tim O’Donohues Soccer Academy and send them to:

6. Why must I provide a copy of my childs immunization record?

Ducks Soccer Camp is required by the New Jersey Board of Health to have a current copy of the immunization record for each camper.

7. Do I need to check in on the first day of camp?

Yes, on the first day of camp all campers should arrive with their parent or guardian at 8:30 AM to check in. At check in we will confirm your registration and distribute any necessary equipment. At 9:00 AM there will be a welcome address conducted by the Camp Director, Tim ODonohue which will cover some important camp information. 

After the first day campers should arrive 15 minutes prior to the camp start time so that they are ready to start the session on time.

8. Is there a set check in and check out location and procedure?

Yes. Campers should meet at the big S in the center of Debaun Athletic Field each morning. At the conclusion of camp each day, we play a game called Coaches vs. Campers and then we dismiss the campers.   Please wait until after the game to sign out your son or daughter with his or her camp coach.

9. What do I do if I need to pick up my child early or if I want my son or daughter to walk home after camp?

Please notify your child's coach at morning drop-off that your son or daughter will be leaving early or walking home. A note must be provided!

*Additionally, if someone other than the parent or guardian will be picking your child, the parent or guardian must provide a signed note with the full name of the person authorized to pick up your child. The note should be given to your child’s coach on the morning of the pick-up. Authorized individuals will need to present identification to your childs coach before your child will be released from camp.   Please be aware that our staff will not allow any child to be picked up by someone that the child does not recognize.

10.   What clothing should my child wear to camp?

Your child should bring the following items to camp:

  • Soccer shin guards

  • Soccer footwear

  • Soccer clothing

  • Water bottle or cooler

  • A light snack  (Full-day campers must also bring lunch)

  • Sunscreen and insect repellent

  • Indoor shoes

  • Swim suit

  • Towel

11. What should my child NOT bring to camp?

Anything of value should be left at home, this includes all video games.

12. What will my child receive at camp?

Besides endless fun and great coaching, each camper will receive a soccer ball and t-shirt.

13. What are the swim policy and procedures at Ducks Soccer Camp?

The swimming is managed by the Stevens Aquatics Staff.   In the pool area, safety is the first priority. On the first day of camp, each camper will be tested by a member of the swim staff. If a camper cannot successfully complete the test, he or she will be required to wear a life vest during swim time. (Of course, campers are not required to swim.) All of our coaches are poolside during swim time with the lifeguards.

14. What happens if there is inclement weather?  

If it is light rain, we will continue to play outside. However, if the rain is heavy or if there is thunder or lightning, we will move the campers to one of our indoor facilities.  

15. What is the cancellation policy?

Prior to the start of camp, we will gladly refund your money minus a $25 handling fee. Unfortunately, we cannot refund your money after the first day of camp.

16. Is lunch provided at camp?

No. Lunch is not provided at camp. Full-day campers must bring their own lunch. Each camper, including Micro and Micro Plus campers should also bring a healthy snack. Water is provided.
